End gun violence
As a mom and legislator, Sarah uses her voice to demand common sense action to curb gun violence in our country. Our country does not have to accept the extraordinary amount of guns and gun deaths we’ve grown accustomed to. We can safeguard lives with common sense gun reform actions.
Family rights
In response to SB1211, the bill burdening teachers to post every daily lesson and list of materials online, Sarah points out that parents can just as easily facilitate these conversations with their kids and schools.
Water: Too Big To Fail
The Water Infrastructure Finance Authority was established between the AZ legislature and the Governor's office. It will set aside over $1B to put to use to conserve projects and water augmentation. This effort towards solutions to our water crisis could not have been presented any sooner. Federal officials have given the seven Western states until August to figure out how to conserve 2m - 4m additional acre feet of water. This finance authority will allocate funds to immediate conservation and long term augmentation.
Don’t fear each other
SB 1165 catches trans children up in the extreme right’s culture war. This type of discrimination is a repetitive cycle we aren’t learning from. We are all different from each other in a wide variety of ways. We don’t need to fear diversity. We need to embrace it and let others live their lives without discrimination.
Prioritize what matters
We should not be writing legislation based on Fox News propaganda. This policy fundamentally undermines the ability for children in LD 5 and across Arizona to learn history and critical thinking. Fund our schools. Don't fine our teachers.
